Jon is the Director of Instruction for The Medallion Club in Westerville, Ohio. He is the Senior Editor and Top 25 Instructor for Golf Tips Magazine. He writes instructional articles, produces instructional videos and writes his Christian golf feature, Fairways to Heaven.

He previously was the Director of Instruction at the New Albany Country Club (2007-2019) and a Head Instructor at the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf, where he worked for 20 years under Top 100 Teachers Fred Griffin and Phil Rodgers.

In 2016, Jon published his first book, Golf is My Life: Glorifying God Through the Game. In July 2024, he followed it up with a compilation of his Golf Tips Magazine Christian golf features, Fairways to Heaven: One Shot at a Time.

In 2015, Jon was named the Southern Ohio Teacher of the Year. Jon has taught players of all levels, including players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and Champions Tour. He has coached at the PGA Championship (2011-2014) and the Women’s U.S. Open in 2007.
